The Speech-Language Pathology, Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensing Board has been created, adding the licensing and oversight of Hearing Aid Specialists and Apprentices. The Speech-Language Pathology, Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensing Board is established under the provisions of NRS Chapter 637B to protect the public health, safety and welfare by ensuring that only competent persons practice speech-language pathology, audiology and hearing aid dispensing in the State. The Board is responsible for licensing practitioners, enacting regulations and enforcing the laws and regulations relating to the professions. The Board licenses qualified speech-language pathologists, audiologists and hearing aid specialists throughout the State.

The Board is funded solely by licensing fees assessed practitioners. The Speech-Language Pathology, Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensing Board does not receive funds from the State General Fund.

New Applications and Fee Schedule effective July 1, 2015 are under the Forms tab. The application includes Hearing Aid Specialists, Apprentices and new license types for SLP-CFY and dispensing Audiologists. Current licenses will not be affected.
